Are we into the 4th week of the lockdown or the 5th? I’m losing track.
We have our fair share of nutters in Surrey
On top of all the sad and terrible deaths I think it’s beginning to dawn on people that without a vaccine or herd immunity this virus is going to seriously fuck up life as we know it in Europe.
Without a vaccine unless the government is going to scrap social distancing it’s hard to see how restaurants & bars can reopen. That would kill the hospitality & tourism industries and put millions out of work not just here but all over Europe.
The airline industry is fucked too; with air traffic is down around 90% my old employers, NATS, must be in financial trouble. I doubt the owners will be dipping into their own pockets to pay controllers 100k a year sit at home.
As for me and Julie resuming our retirement in the sun I don’t think we’ll be able to travel back to France, Spain or Portugal before Easter next year at the very earliest.
Anyway away from all the death, doom & gloom of the virus the weather has been fabulous in Reigate this week 😀
and it’s been raining on the Côte d’Azur 😎
On the allotment front everything has been planted and the fencing is now 100% rabbit proof so I can relax and let my back recover.
